John Rylands Seminar on Print and Materiality in the Early Modern World March 2014

a_printers_workshop-large croppedThe next John Rylands Seminar on Print and Materiality in the Early Modern World  is Wednesday 19 March 2014, 3.30–5.00 pm

The seminar will be hosting Dr Laura Sangha (University of Exeter), who will be presenting her paper:

‘The Recording of Illustrious Providences: Intellectual developments and the supernatural in later seventeenth-century England’.

The session will be held in the Christie Room, John Rylands Library, Deansgate, Manchester. All are welcome, no need to book.

Dr Sangha is a historian of religious cultures in early modern England, investigating belief and practice during the ‘long’ Reformation c. 1450-1700. Her first monograph, Angels and Belief in England 1480-1700 was published by Pickering and Chatto in 2012.
