The John Rylands Seminar on Print and Materiality in the Early Modern World – October 2014

a_printers_workshop-large croppedThe 2014/15 seminar series gets underway this week. Our first seminar session is on Thursday 9th October at 5pm. Our speakers are:

Dr Guyda Armstrong, Manchester, ‘Boccaccio and the Italian Novella Collection in English Translation in the Seventeenth Century’

Dr Benjamin Williams, Manchester, ‘Salonica, Venice and Manchester – Sixteenth-Century Sephardic Bible Exegesis in the John Rylands Library’

Dr Elizabeth Upper, Manchester, ‘The Materiality of the Press: Use and Reuse in Early Modern Printshops’

The session will be held in the Christie Room, John Rylands Library, Deansgate, Manchester. All welcome!
