There was a DP Branch within the Control Commission Germany (British Element). As the Control Commission was winding up its work in 1949 the question of the future of DPs was one of the major discussion points. The Religious Affairs Branch of the CCG(BE), whose history I am currently trying to write, sent representatives to a umber of conferences. It also shared the information with the UK churches. There are numerous files in the National Archives at Kew about the whole subject of DPs.
